Import an org chart from CSV

Column format, and what the validator checks.

Open an org chart and choose Import from CSV. The columns are id, name, title, parentId and department. Only id and name are required.

Leave exactly one parentId empty to mark the top of the chart.

What gets checked

  • Duplicate ids, reported with both line numbers
  • Managers who are not in the file
  • People listed as their own manager
  • Reporting loops
  • Empty ids or names

Any of these stops the import entirely, with each problem listed by line number. Multiple people with no manager is only a warning — co-leadership is real, and refusing it would be the tool overruling you about your own organisation.
