DiagramDock is comfortable into the high hundreds of elements. Beyond that, some operations become noticeably slower, and the editor will say so rather than letting you discover it.
- Automatic layout is the most expensive operation and runs in the background on large diagrams
- Splitting one very large diagram into several usually helps more than any setting
- Performance depends heavily on the device, so a diagram that is fine on a desktop may not be on a phone
